Poker tournament manager
Record late entries, knockouts, re-entries, rebuys and add-ons as they happen. Chip counts, the average stack and the prize pool stay correct, and any mistake can be undone.
Counts that add up
- Players and entries
- Players are the people who bought in. Paid entries also count re-entries, so a player who busts and buys in again is one player but two entries. Players left is entries minus knockouts.
- Chips in play
- Every entry adds a starting stack, and every rebuy or add-on adds its chips. A knockout removes nobody’s chips: they have moved to the other players, so the average stack goes up.
- Prize pool
- Each entry, rebuy and add-on adds its price. The payout places and amounts update on the clock.
Undo and the activity log
Every action is written to a log with the time. Undo reverses the most recent action and keeps it in the log marked as undone, so the totals can always be traced back.
Names are optional
Count players anonymously, or add names when it helps. Named knockouts give you a finishing order, and the places can be filled in when you finish the tournament. Finished tournaments are saved on this device with the date, entries, prize pool and places.
The same controls are on the tournament clock under Players. Work out stacks with the chip calculator and the split with the payout calculator.
Questions
What is the difference between a rebuy and a re-entry?
A rebuy adds chips to a player who is still in, usually when they are short or have just busted within the rebuy period. A re-entry is a new entry for a player who was knocked out: they pay the buy-in again and start with a fresh stack.
Does a knockout change the chips in play?
No. The knocked-out player’s chips went to whoever won the hand. Chips in play stay the same and the average stack goes up because there are fewer players.
Do I have to enter player names?
No. You can run the whole game with counts only. Names are useful if you want a finishing order or to record who won.
I pressed the wrong button. How do I fix it?
Press Undo. It reverses the most recent action, and you can press it again to go further back. The log keeps a record of what was undone.
